Theme Thursday: Story Tellers

Shag Reading
Both Reading SOOC
Bear Reading SOOC 2

I sat there for the longest time, I must of took over a hundred shots. But I was determined to get it right.

This night the boys were so content on reading to themselves in Bear's room. It was peaceful and Bear's radio was set to a soft radio station. I was happy to be exploring my hobby and watching my boys be content.

I played the ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed, until it all came together. These pictures are SOOC. I think I did alright. There is a little blur, but the light you see is what I saw that night.

Stacy shares a great story teller for you at her site. Stacy thanks for inspiring us each week.

You did a wonderful job! The lighting is perfect for sharing the story of their nightly reading. Love these! :)

That really is the best way to practice, too. Wait until they are engaged in some activity and keep shooting and changing settings until you see it come together. Nice job!

I agree with Stacy, when they are content it gives you the best time to play around.

These came out really great. I love the dramatic, yet soft lighting. It is so cute to see the kids reading too. Since Ella cant read. I always wonder what is going through her mind as she looks at the pictures and tries to piece the story together herself.

I think they turned out beautifully! I have the hardest time with that low light and soft light images. I love the softness in the pictures and the intentness in their studies. Really nice job. :)

Oh, this is marvelous! I love that soft lighting...the way you captured it is so REAL that I feel like I'm right there!

It is amazing how much I learn all the time. I love the shot and the storytelling feeling. I went over to Stacy's site and was definitely inspired by her words about capturing the moment. That is really what I want to be about with my photography. Remembering everything that was going on in a moment of our lives by one photograph.

GORGEOUS SOOC shots! Perfect for the theme and you did great...a little blur (although I didn't notice any) is worth it to get shots like these...
