Patch

Photobucket

As some of you might know Moose got glasses this year. I was sad, thinking of the teasing that would happen to him throughout school years.
He has Ambyolpia. His brain and eyes do not talk. So his vision in his right eye is really poor. Surgery can not correct his vision, just eye strengthening exercises.

We are doing eye therapy today. So that means we patch his eye every day for 30-90 minutes. Some days it's a fight.

My niece has that also. She had to have her patch on 4 hours a day when she started. She was a little younger when they diagnosed her, so I'm sure it is a lot harder for you since Moose is older....He will thank you someday though! These pictures are gorgeous - amazing DOF!

What a strong little boy he is. I love the second shot and how it looks as though he is in thought. And yup, great DOF.

My nephew had that...he has had eye problems since he was a baby (he was a 29 week old preemie--one of quadruplets)...but the therapy really helped, he doesn't have to do it anymore...he is 8. Hopefully I'll see you Friday.

Oh, your poor boy! At least he gets to be a pirate occassionally. I'm sure he's not happy by having to do that, but he will thank you when he gets older.

Poor Moose! One day he will be thankful you tortured him! Love your pics.
