Date Night

Date Night

We use to have date night all the time. A couple of years ago we hired college girls to come twice a month for date night. I miss those girls we had. I felt so connected to Commander at that time. It was not cheap to have a consistent gal come but worth it. I hope that we are able to get back there. Sometimes we ran errands and others just dinner. But it was so nice to be alone with him.

I think EVERYONE needs to get out, away from their kiddos, once in awhile...or like us at LEAST once a week :)

We have done a date night each week for years, 15 or so. We had ours at home after the kids go to bed. No TV, Mark would make a nice dinner and a bottle of wine and talk... It is a good thing. Now we still do it just earlier. I hope you can get it back I think it is a necessity.

I agree. Date night definitely keeps you feeling connected. We don't do it regularly, but when we do it's so nice. We take advantage of the little time we have after the kids go to bed especially on the weekend when we stay up a little later.

We have recetnly started making datenight a priority, and is has been fantastic. I am ever so grateful for having inlaws nearby and willing to watch the kiddo!

So true Nikki...We don't have any reliable family close by (well, my sister lives close by, but she's so busy, I hate to ask her to leave her hubby on the weekends to watch our kids) - So, we've had about 4 dates in the past 2 1/2 years! I'm hoping we will be able to find someone now that the kids are a little older who we can rely on so we can start doing it to!

We should do it more often than we do. Glad to hear you had a nice time. :o)

Date night is a luxury we are currently having to go with out ourselves. I miss it too, I think it is important. Our relationship seems to get lost in the family shuffle these days.

Enjoy those!

Dates are few and far between around here.
