Long Journey

It has been a LONG Journey. We have encouraged him to ride his bike many times.
A year of:
Tears
Whining
Frustration
Throwing the bike down
Running Away
Refusal

I finally got outside and to my amazement he was in the street riding all by him self.
We all rushed out to see and it was so AWESOME....
Finally he did it. Commander and I were so excited for him.

Now he wants to ride everyday.
I am sure this summer I will only be seeing the back of him riding off.
How cool that is...............

Such a big step. His world has become much larger at this point. I just love the fact that you have photos of all these great events. I hope you have some good weather so he can have fun. They grow up too fast.

Hooray for him! That is so awesome that he was able to overcome his fear and frustration.

I have a feeling our son will be a hard one to get over this, too.

I love those pictures. Our 7 year old refuses to ride a bike...he'll ride his scooter faster than some kids ride a bike...I hope he'll learn one day...I have so many memories of myself riding a bike...long trips...the freedom! Fun!!
