Me
My youngest took this picture. (not bad for a 2 year old holding a camera)
I have been trying to do a lot of soul searching lately. What to I want to do in the upcoming years. I like my job as an RN, but my hobby is my passion. I could sit for hours looking at pictures and studying how someone got that image. So, I do think I want to forge idea with my hobby, but how and where do I begin. This dream is not as easy as it was to become an RN. I knew I had to go to school to get my degree, than find my job. Easy peasy. But photography is proving to be so different.

Oh yeah, I feel you! Photography simply isn't clear cut...there's no Step A, Step B, Step C to follow to ensure success. I both love and hate that!
That is a tough one. It is so hard to decide which to follow. There is something to be said for a dependable job but following ones passion is the ultimate... I am watching Stevi work toward the passion part and Rick the dependable...
I know exactly how you feel! Christina & I were having this same conversation the other day - there's no black & white way to "get there" - I'm exactly like you, getting my degrees & finding a job & even being great at it were all easy - photography is a whole different ballgame!
Good luck pursuing your dream. You are so right. It is definitely not clear cut.
I'm wishing you luck and success. Professional Artist is a tricky road to navigate but you are not alone. Check out my latest blog post for some links to articles that were helpful to me.
I'm sending you best wishes in following your dream.
